Dino-Bird Hoax!
Robert Bauer

You may remember the November 1999, National Geographic article, "Feathers For T. Rex?". In it Christopher P. Sloan, the Senior Assistant Editor, describes how four new fossils were found in Lianong Province, China. These were as Sloan wrote, "dinosaur fossils with stunningly birdlike bones and indications of feathers. Not enough to prove that these dinosaurs ever flew but strong evidence that feathers were widespread among meat-eating dinosaurs--the group that includes Tyrannosaurus rex."
Stephen Czerkas, co-director of the Dinosaur Museum in Blanding, Utah is quoted as saying, "It's a missing link between terrestrial dinosaurs and birds that could actually fly." The only problem with this evolutionary bombshell is that it is based upon a hoax. The original fossil was found upon the slitting open of the original slab. It seems the National Geographic Society only used one side of the fossil for their studies. Xing Xu, a Chinese paleontologist, has reportedly found the other side of the fossil and it does not authenticate the assembly on display at the National Geographic Society. It seems that two separate fossils had been joined together.
What does this mean to the child of God? Two things, one that it is apparent to what lengths the evolutionists will stoop to try and prove their false theory. Secondly, reinforced confidence in the Genesis account of creation. As God said, "Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind"; and it was so " (Genesis 1:24). A lizard will not give birth to a bird just as a monkey will not give birth to a human being.

Set this down as a fact: that we must labor for all that we have, and that nothing is worth possessing or offering to others, which costs us nothing.
