Indifference - I John 2:3-6
Author Unknown

The person guilty of indifference claims to know God, but makes no attempt to obey His word. His profession produces no fruit. This is the bottom line. We often have heard, "The proof of the pudding is in the eating," In Christianity, the "proof of the pudding is in the attitude toward God's word". The Psalmist said, "Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against Thee" (Psa. 119:11). This must be the attitude of every child of God, if they are to enjoy fellowship with Him.

Walking in the light, recognizing and confessing our sins; faithfully serving Jesus; loving God and one another, and many other requirements of the faith of Christ, hinge on our attitude toward the word of God. We must, at all times, with great zeal, guard against the attitude of indifference, for it, along with the many other wiles of the devil, will keep us out of fellowship with God.

Congratulations
Congratulations to Daniel and Katrina Stearsman on the birth of their new son, Jackson Maxwell, born Thursday, October 23rd at 5 p.m.. He weighed in at 7 pounds, 13 ounces and is 20½ inches long. At last word, mother, baby, father and grandfather were all doing well.

We extend our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Charles Reece (Frank DeBord’s cousin) who past away last Sunday afternoon. Keep the DeBord family in your prayers.

November Calendars
The November issue of the Orange Street Activities Calendar and Duty List is available today in the foyer. Be sure to get a copy so that you may be informed of the activities and duty schedules for the coming month.

People can be divided into three groups: Those who make things happen. Those who watch things happen. Those who wonder what happened. "Let’s be a doer not a wonderer."
