a Safe & Joyous
CHRISTMAS
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and
cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness,
neither shadow of turning. James 1:17 |
Senior Dinner Today
You
are invited to join with us in the annex after the morning worship
services today, for our annual fellowship meal in honor of our
senior members here at Orange Street. Come and help us celebrate
those who have served as our examples of steadfastness for so many
years.
Wednesday Devotional
Please note that we will have a devotional service in the auditorium
this Wednesday evening (Christmas Eve) instead of our regular classes.
Duty Sheets
This will be the LAST week to check the 2004 duty schedules posted
on the bulletin board in the foyer and make any needed additions
or changes. If you have a scheduling problem see Carl Chambers.
We need to fill in any unfilled slots in the schedules.
ALSO: Be sure to sign-up for your opportunity to host one of the
monthly Home Devos during the coming year. Your cooperation in
these matters will be greatly appreciated.
Mailbox
There is a small mailbox in the foyer for birthday and anniversary
cards that will be hand delivered to members of this congregation.
NOTE: These items will not be mailed and is only for cards to
members here at Orange Street. See Ora Lee Skinner for details.

New Student
A new student will be enrolling at FSOP in January and will be
moving into one of our student houses. We would like to welcome
him by helping to stock his pantry. Please check the box in the
foyer for more information.
Robert (Bobby) Anderson, son of Frank and Christine (Chris) Anderson,
passed away on Tuesday afternoon (16th). Funeral services were
held yesterday in Winter Haven. They are members at Central in
Winter Haven, and known by several here at Orange Street.

Christianity
is not, or at least should not be, a ho-hum, humdrum, half-hearted,
weak-kneed part of our existence. Paul said, "For
me to live is Christ." (Philippians 1:21). It is obvious that
Christianity to Paul was not a take-it-or-leave-it matter; it was
the heart and center of his life.
