Fail Forward

Virtually nothing comes out exactly right the first time it is tried. Repeated failures can be progress markers on the road to achievement and perfection. The only time you do not fail is the last time you try something and it works. Even then you can often improve on what you have done, make it more effective and efficient. You should always try to fail in the direction of progress and improvement.

Our hearts and prayers are with the families and friends of two of our sisters who passed away this past week.
     Funeral services were held yesterday (Sat, Jan. 17 ) for Alwilda Cox who passed away early this past Monday (12th).
     Funeral Services for Gina Dupree will be held this afternoon (Sun, Jan. 18) at 2pm at Kersey Funeral Home. Gina passed away this past Tuesday (13th).
     Keep the Powell, Cox, and Dupree families in your daily prayers during this time of sadness and sorrow.

Third Sunday Singing
The regular area-wide Third Sunday Singing will be held today at the North Lakeland church of Christ in Lakeland at 3pm.

FYI
The ladies of Orange Street (together with the ladies of North Lakeland coC) will be providing lunch at the FSOP lectureship this coming Thursday (22nd) at noon.

The Pantry
The Food Distribution Program provided assistance to 12 families (40 individuals) this past week. We need the following items:

  • Tuna
  • Treet
  • Sliced potatoes
  • Raiment noodles
  • Rice
  • Dried beans
  • Macaroni & cheese
  • Spaghetti
  • Spaghetti noodles
